About Us
Ambarvale Little Athletics Centre (ALAC) is now in our 31st season of competition. We commenced in 1980 and are one of six Centres that compete in the South West Metropolitan Zone. We are a friendly, family orientated club promoting Family, Fun & Fitness while ensuring our children get the most out of their athletics experiences.
Our Centre uniform consists of a maroon & gold singlet or crop top and navy blue shorts. Uniforms can be purchased on Friday nights from 5.30pm to 6.00pm at the canteen. Please note that Centre Uniform is compulsory for all athletes U6 - U17 & registration number, IGA patch & age patch must be firmly attached & visible at all times.
Unlike various other sports Little Athletics is parent dependent. Each Friday night we need assistance from parents to accompany the athletes around the ground to their programmed events. Parents are also required to help the Age Official with measuring, raking, etc. Extra help is also needed in the canteen, BBQ, timekeeping & starting. Please note: it is a requirement of this Club that during Friday night competitions a parent (or a responsible adult with appropriate authority) is present from each family at all times.
An OFFICIALS DAY for Age Officials, parents & helpers is held at the start of each season. This is an informative session with no pressure of exams; just the basic athletic rules to enable your participation each Friday & to share the experience with your children.

For further information please contact a member of the Committee.
Please remember that our Officials, Committee and Coaches are parent volunteers and without them ALAC wouldn’t exist.
